Grandpa, More Flooding, and Getting ready for Graduation

On Thursday Chris' dad came in for the weekend graduation festivities. We spent the afternoon and evening doing all things St. Louis. It was a great time, first of all, because my father-in-law is awesome, but also because Chris lived here when he was Ryan's age and it was fun for his dad to hang out here with us one more time. We went downtown to Laclede's Landing which is on the Mississippi (everytime I say that I think of Julie Biesinger saying "the Ole' Miss, the Ole' Man. Sorry Julie, my memory doesn't quit). For those of you who saw my flood pictures from a few months ago, this is much worse. The water is halfway up the steps to the arch. Amazing! After walking around we went to dinner, the awesome St. Louis Zoo, and then Ted Drewes. For those of you not accustomed with St. Louis, Ted Drewes is on Route 66 and is the BEST frozen custard spot around. I believe it is the best in the US, and I'm sure I'm right, but we'll leave it at that. It is definately a St. Louis landmark, and just a whole lot of fun!
